Aurand MP6 air powered sacrifier is designed for removing rust, paint and adhesives from steel, asphalt and concrete surfaces. This heavy duty surface preparation tool is ideal for working on beams, girders, large pipes, valves, tanks, bridge structures and oil platforms. Additionally, structures like swimming pools, retaining walls, parking lot lines and cement smatterings can also be cleaned / processed using this air scarifier. This pneumatic powered tool features a rotary style motor without any pistons, toggles or reciprocating parts for eliminating any chances of unwanted vibrations from the tool itself. It comes with a detachable aluminium handle which enables the worker to operate the tool with ease over large, flat areas. Its trigger style switch enables quick throttle activation & deactivation, and variable speed setting allows the user to adjust the blade speed depending upon the application requirement. The D-style handle provides complete control & grip on the tool, and the cutter blades are adjustable for compensating against blade wear. The brand also offers various trigger style electric handheld scarifiersin 0.25 and 0.5 HP variants.

Aurand MP6 air powered sacrifier features a rotary style motor that is pneumatically powered. The compressed air is fed to the tool via a nozzle port located at the front of the tool. It features a trigger style switch that actuates the rotor of the air powered sacrifier. Additionally, its variable speed setting allows the user to adjust the blade speed depending upon the application requirement.
Aurand MP6 air powered sacrifier operates using compressed air. The user should connect a 3/8 inch diameter hose supply line to the sacrifier. This air powered sacrifier is trigger operated and does not require any additional set up. Before operating, the user should lift the cutter using both handles located at the top & rear of the air powered sacrifier. Additionally, the depth of the cutting blade can be easily adjusted just by loosening / fastening the screw located on the cutter blade.
Tools like Aurand MP6 air scarifier are used to clean surfaces. This cleaning is done to apply chemicals on the cleaned surface for promoting bonding between the adhesive and the surface.
This Aurand scarifier comes with an adjustable depth shoe which maintains uniformity during the cleaning operation. Once placed properly, it can reduce operator fatigue by allowing te operator to exert minimal effort to finish the surface preparation task.
A set of cutter bundles can last for 20 to 40 hours and can prepare about 1000 sq.ft surface. You can replace blunt cutter bundles with an Aurand 90M cutter bundle.
Aurand air powered sacrificers are offered in straight and D handle variants for ease of operation.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety goggles, ear protection, dust masks and gloves. Ensure the work area is well-ventilated and follow all safety guidelines provided in the operator's manual.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the scarifier after each use, checking for worn or damaged cutters and replacing them as needed. Regular oiling of the air motor and storage in a dry environment is also recommended to prevent rust and corrosion.
