VAL-MATIC 504A Swing-Flex Check Valve, Flanged Connection, 250 psi

Val-Matic 504A Swing-Flex check valve is used in combination with metering pumps to control the flow of sludges & slurries, as well as prevent backflow into supply lines. This 4 inch check valve features non clog design, ensuring that the flow area is unrestricted for maximising flow and lowering unwanted headloss. This smooth streamlined contouring & unrestricted flow area allows for the passage of large solids, thereby minimising the chances of valve clogging. Val-Matic Swing-Flex check valve further features fusion bonded epoxy coating on both exterior & interior surfaces for preventing any chances of fluid contamination. Additionally, this coating also minimises wear in abrasive conditions & harsh industrial environments.

This Swing-Flex check valve have a domed access port that allows easy removal of the disc without any need to remove the valve from the fluid line. This feature allows for quick & easy maintenance of the check valve while minimising downtime. Val-Matic 504A Swing-Flex check valve prevents reverse flow in fluid lines. This Swing-Flex check valve is ideal for various applications, such as fracking, dewatering, wastewater processing, irrigation, mining, pulp & paper and low pressure gas service operations.

During system flow conditions, the fluid movement / pressure forces the disc to open position for allowing 100% (unrestricted) fluid flow. Under reverse flow conditions, the valve disc returns to the closed position for preventing reverse flow completely.

Val-Matic 504A Swing-Flex check valve can be installed either in vertical or horizontal flow applications. The flow arrow direction must always point towards the direction of fluid flow during normal system operation. Val-Matic check valve features flanged ends and should be mated only with flat faced pipe flanges. The check valve is fastened to the pipe system using flange bolts / studs. The adjacent piping & valve must be aligned & supported for preventing any chances of cantilevered stress on the valve. The tightening of the bolts must be done in gradual steps with crossover tightening method. Full face resilient gaskets should be used for sealing the connection in between the valve & the piping system.
