The terry bonnet is 100 percent soft, absorbent cotton used in drying, applying or buffing away wax or polish. Wool buffing bonnet, on the other hand, is more abrasive and used to cut deeper into paint layers and remove deep scratches, thick layers of dirt and other debris accumulated on the exterior surface.

A buffing pad is suitable for polishing the interface. It is used with a backing plate and screwed / bolted to the tool that spins / orbits at a high speed to deliver precise polishing action.
