Anti-theft fasteners have a unique head that makes them impossible to remove or tamper with. Once in place, these screws are permanently fixed and only removed by a specialised tool, making them excellent for deterring theft, vandalism and trespassing in high-security areas.
One can reuse an extracted screw if it has not exceeded its yield point. The yield point refers to the stage where the screw will not return to its original length or shape when the load is removed from it. At this point, the screw is permanently damaged and should not be reused.
To loosen the fastener, place the two steel pins (at the head of the tool) into the slots on the screw head and turn the extraction tool.
