Working Mechanism

  • Eaton HFD3050 circuit breaker normally passes current through its current-carrying contacts.
  • When it detects any faults or issues, the contacts move away from each other and trip the unit thermally or magnetically.
  • Troubleshoot the issue. Reset the breaker by moving the breaker handle to the OFF position and then switching the circuit back to On.
  • In case of a thermal trip, the circuit breaker needs to cool down before resetting.

Features

  • Eaton HFD3050 circuit breaker accommodates 14 AWG to 1/0 AWG wires inside its load side lug terminals.
  • This complete breaker features fixed thermal & magnetic contacts for a superior tripping performance and long-time and instantaneous current limiting protection.
  • Its bolt-on mounting style allows easy installation on panels or switchboards.
  • This 3-pole circuit breaker operates at a maximum trip setting of 225A & a minimum trip setting of 15A.
  • The unit has three indicated positions (ON, OFF and trip) on the sliding handle barrier shown with the international symbols I / 0 and colour-coding strip indicating red for ON, white for tripped and green for OFF.
