Working Mechanism

  • Trico Opto-Matic oiler has a control point that should align with the oil level of the equipment.
  • As oil is depleted in the equipment, the fluid seal (on the spout) breaks.
  • During this, air flows from the air vent to the oil reservoir.
  • This releases the fluid from the reservoir, allowing it to flow into the equipment until the re-establishment of the liquid seal.

Compatible Accessories

  • Trico Opto Laser Levels: These easy-to-install units act as inspection devices for indicating the accurate setting of the level of oil in Opto-Matic oilers.

Standards and Approvals

  • ISO 9001:2015
  • ISO / IEC 17025:2017
  • ASTM

Frequently Asked Questions

At what temperatures does this Opto-Matic oiler work?

It can work at a maximum temperature of 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

How is Opto-Matic constant oiler installed?

  • Before installing, shaft rotation direction must be determined.
  • Install the oiler on the side of the equipment facing the direction of shaft rotation to prevent misfeeding of the oiler.
  • Determine the proper oil level either indicated by an arrow or manually marked using a marking device.
  • Loosen set screw and remove reservoir assembly.
  • Check that all connecting hardware is free from contamination.
  • Connect lower casting to the bearing chamber and verify that the casting is parallel with the desired oil level.
  • Measure the distance between the oiler & casting edge and set the oiler level adjuster i.e. Opto laser level tool.
  • Thread the upper adjuster arm to the needed level and once the correct level is obtained, lock the lower level adjuster arm against the upper arm.
  • Fill the equipment bearing chamber through the lower casting and use a funnel to fill the reservoir assembly.
  • Tighten the set screw and start the equipment.
