IMPERIAL 275-FS Flaring (45 Degrees) and Swaging Tool, Screw-Type Feed

Imperial 275-FS flaring and swaging tool is used for connecting copper tubing and gas pipes. This tool is ideal for joining pipes of different sizes in HVAC systems.

• Take an Imperial tube cutter and cut the tubing into squares.
• Ensure all burrs and turned-down edges are removed.
• Insert the tubing into a die of the corresponding size and make sure it is slightly above the top of the die.
• Tighten the wing nut nearest to the tube.
• Place the flaring cone in the centre over the tubing.
• Tighten the flaring tool to lower the press into the tubing until it forms a flare.
• Loosen the flaring tool and remove the flared tubing.
• For swaging, secure the tube in a vice or hold it by hand with a firm grip.
• Match the diameter of the tube to the appropriately sized punch and put the narrow end inside the tube.
• Ensure perfectly straight alignment.
• With a hammer, strike the end of the punch until the tube meets the stop.
