An impeller is a one-piece bronze casting constructed by the shell mould process, producing extremely smooth water passages and enhanced performance. It is securely keyed to the shaft and held in place with a stainless steel washer and self-locking impeller screw.
It is vertically mounted with bronze impellers for proper motor elevation to eliminate submergence if the floor is flooded or to provide a low-level suction inlet so that the impeller is sufficiently submerged even with a minimum water level in the receiver.
The cast iron casing of this unit comes with a top pull-out feature that permits servicing of the pump without disturbing pipe connections. It provides the lowest possible location for the impeller while eliminating air or vapour binding of the pump, even when the water level is the lowest in the receiver.
