Destaco straight line action clampsuse their handles to move plungers in the clamps along their axis. These clamps can be locked either in two positions (extended and retracted position), allowing them to act as both pull or push clamps or only in the extended position. They are ideal for use in fixturing, testing, CNC machining & plastic injection moulding applications in the automotive, aerospace and food & packaging industries. Destaco 605 Series clampscan act as both pull or push clamps using a handle that falls below the mounting planes to lock the clamp in the retracted position. These clamps are constructed of steel for structural rigidity & durability and to prevent breaking / damaging due to heavy-duty operations. Destaco 605-M straight line action clamp can be locked in both extended & retracted positions and has a metric threaded plunger for attaching metric threaded spindles. It also has a lightweight stamped, flange base that is heat treated for increased strength and secure installation on flat surfaces or workpieces. Raptor Supplies also offers Destaco 605straight line action clamp having similar specifications as Destaco 605-M clamp and an imperial threaded plunger for holding workpieces using imperial threaded spindles.

Raptor Supplies offers a similar clamp, featuring 5/16-18 plunger thread (Destaco 605 clamp) for attaching imperial threaded spindles.
A straight line action clamp is operated manually using a rotatable handle to push or pull a plunger with an attached spindle against the workpiece and prevent it from moving mid-operation, thereby ensuring secure clamping.
The red coloured handles alert the user about the location of the operating handle and when he should grab it. The red colour has no additional advantage to the working of the clamps.
The term "holding capacity" or the holding force indicates the ideal capability of the clamp to hold down the equipment, workpiece or sheet metal on the assembly line or during other manufacturing processes.
Clamping force or exerting force denotes the actual force exerted by the clamp onto the workpieces for holding them. The measure of holding force or capacity indicates the ideal strength of the clamp measured during the clamp manufacturing process. The clamping force is generally lesser than the holding capacity, due to several factors like the position of spindles in the clamping bars and the opposing force applied on the clamp.
Most of the Destaco clamps feature grips that can be easily removed by sliding them off. But some of the handle grips undergo vinyl dipping to fit the underlying handle and hence, have to be cut off for removing them.
Destaco can supply customised versions of clamps upon request. The customisations can range from a different colour of handles to the removal of the Destaco logo from the clamps.
