Destaco 5130 straight line action clamp employs push / pull toggle clamping action. This straight line clamp features a compact design for single part & mass production of fixtures. It has a carbon steel body with black oxide finish and hardened plungers for strength & durability, as well as to prevent wear & tear caused due to abrasive environments. This straight line clamp utilises clamping force from the side rather than the top, to secure workpieces in applications where space is confined. It comes with a lever handle that engages the plunger, which presses against a workpiece to hold it in place. This easy to operate push / pull handle easily moves the plunger of the clamp in and out along its axis. The ergonomic handle is slanted backwards to provide an adequate grip. Destaco 5130 straight line action clamp has balanced construction for rigid holding and long life. It can be locked in two positions, allowing the operator to use them as either a push or pull clamp. This clamp has an overall length of 11.11 inches, a maximum holding capacity of 5800 lb and handle opening angle up to 125 degrees. It features through holes on a flanged base that can be mounted to a worktable or flat surface. This straight line clamp features a compact design to reduce the space requirement for clamp installation & operation, thereby increasing ease of use in confined spaces for both single part & mass production.

Destaco 5130 straight line action clamp offers a wide combination of features, making it adaptable for applications such as assembly, welding & heavy duty production, in the aerospace, automotive and food & packaging industries.
A straight line clamp includes a sliding plunger to provide straight line clamping action. The plunger can be locked in either pulling or pushing direction for holding workpieces.
A coupling grease like Mobil XTC should be used when dealing with Destaco mechanical clamps, while the Magnalube G grease is great for use with pneumatic cylinder seals.
The clamp's holding capacity or holding force is basically the capability of a clamp for holding down mechanical equipment or sheet metal while assembling automotive parts or during manufacturing processes.
Clamping force is the amount of force actually applied to the workpiece by closing & locking the clamp. It is normally less than the stated holding capacity. The actual clamping force depends on various factors, including cylinder bore, cylinder area, spindle position (clamping arm length) and available air pressure. In most cases, the clamping force is approximately 2 to 3 times the force exerted by a pneumatic cylinder.
