Description
HCL Clamping's Herbie Clip plastic hose clamps feature two interlocking toothed jaws that apply twice the clamping force exerted by other similar clamps. These clamps are made up of heat / UV stabilised and ROHS compliant Nylon 6.6 and can operate at temperatures ranging from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 338 degrees Fahrenheit. These quality hose clamps are widely used in automotive, agriculture and pharmaceutical industries, and come in different head heights, band widths and band thicknesses.
Working Mechanism
- These plastic hose clamps are placed in the ear space (over the end of the tube or hose) and are closed with a pincer or clamping tool, thereby bridging & sealing the ear gap tightly.
- This also ensures uniform compression force around the overall circumference of the clamp.
Features
- They come with double row, interlocking toothed jaws that apply twice the clamping force exerted by similar clamps.
- They can operate at temperatures ranging from -40 degrees to 338 degrees Fahrenheit.
- These clamps are made of heat / UV stabilised Nylon 6.6 material for high tensile strength and abrasion resistance.
- They have a snap-fit design for easy installation.
Standards & Approvals
- ROHS
Frequently Asked Questions
- Place the brand's removal tool at the bottom part of the female jaw.
- Slide or twist sideways.
- With this, the clip simply wraps around the hose.
- The jaws are then squeezed until a strong & secure fit is achieved.
- Hose clamps come in diverse shapes, styles & sizes. However, the majority of them follow the same process for proper fitting on a hose and tube / pipe fitting. Once the hose is pressed securely onto the mating part, the hose clamp is positioned toward the end of the hose, with approximately 1/4 inch space between the clamp and the end of the hose.
- Simply measure the outside diameter (OD) of the hose installed on the fitting. Then, choose a hose clamp in such a way that the outer diameter of the hose is approximately in the middle of the clamping range of the clamp.
- These easy to install and removable clips are reusable. Each clip size covers a range of tubing and bundle diameters, owing to their adjustable nature.
